Homemade Pesto
This recipe is mouthwatering and a great staple to add to sandwiches, chicken, pasta, and just about anything else.
Ingredients
1/2 c. almonds, roasted
1/3 c. fresh basil
1/3 c. olive oil
1 tbsp. red wine vinegar
2 cloves of garlic
Instructions
Pre-heat oven to 350
Lay almonds on a baking sheet, bake for 10 minutes
Add cooled almonds, fresh basil, olive oil, red wine vinegar, garlic, and salt to small blender or food processor
Pulse until well blended and use on everything!
TIP: you can adjust the amount of olive oil to make the pesto to the consistency of your preference. I prefer my pesto a little thicker, like a paste, so I am more conservative with it.
