Homemade Pesto

This recipe is mouthwatering and a great staple to add to sandwiches, chicken, pasta, and just about anything else.

Ingredients


  • 1/2 c. almonds, roasted

  • 1/3 c. fresh basil

  • 1/3 c. olive oil

  • 1 tbsp. red wine vinegar

  • 2 cloves of garlic

Instructions


  • Pre-heat oven to 350

  • Lay almonds on a baking sheet, bake for 10 minutes

  • Add cooled almonds, fresh basil, olive oil, red wine vinegar, garlic, and salt to small blender or food processor

  • Pulse until well blended and use on everything!

  • TIP: you can adjust the amount of olive oil to make the pesto to the consistency of your preference. I prefer my pesto a little thicker, like a paste, so I am more conservative with it.
